Sept 7th - 11th    We have 2 long days of driving to make Leavenworth Washington.  We had planned to stay at a Boondockers welcome site 25 miles north of Yellowstone but it was snowing and we did not want to chance getting stuck so we found Mountain View campground next to I-90 to spend the night.  Next day we continued west through Bozeman pass.  It was beautiful with the snow and the road was pretty decent for driving.       We continued driving all day.  We also started encountering the smoke from wildfires.  We stopped at a rest area on I-90 mile marker 58 and found a nice campground called Quartz flat as part of the rest stop and even went under I-90 to other side.  It was a national forest campground so no hookups but  did  have a dump station.    We made it to Leavenworth and setup camp at Alpine View campground.  With Kira we needed electric to run AC as it had warmed up here and this camp...

Sept 4th-7th    We had a leisure morning since we would only travel 100 miles today.  Seems most campgrounds were full or closed.  We found Oleo Acres Rv Park located half way between the North and South units of TRNP for a great price with full hookups.  Once we arrived and setup camp we headed to the north unit. The next day it was the South unit and the town of Medora's turn for exploration.   Chateau De Mores the little cottage of  Antoine de Vallombrosa, the Marquis de Mores Roosevelt cabin      We have enjoyed our visit here but we need to make Seattle by September 16th so time to head West tomorrow. See Ya Then, Tom, Pat and Kira

Sept 1- 4     We left Michigan and began our journey west.  Our first stop was at a Boondockers welcome site.  This was our first time using Boondockers welcome and we were their first guest.  An awesome couple with a small farm on the Swan river.  Plenty of free cukes and apples and some of the largest pumpkins I've ever seen.  Also had Electric and water.  These folks lost a son this year and was one of the sweetest couples we meet on this trip.   They took over their sons dream farm after his death and was using it to help folks and as a wedding venue.  We just stayed the one night before moving on to our next stop.        Our next stop was Stanton, ND.  After a long drive we wanted to spend 2 nights here.  We picked a city park campground called Sakakawea city park.  Nice park during the week when we were there.  It sits on the the Knife river and nearby there is the Knife River Nati...
