Trip # 2 Shenandoah and Charlotteville

Needed to visit our youngest daughter in Charlottesville VA to take care of some title work.  Spent a comfortable night at the KOA. Kim and Alex joined us for dinner at the campsite and smores over a fire.
The next day we headed to a Harvest Host "Pro Re Nata Brewery" in Crozet, VA.  I had a flight and a fantastic prime rib sandwich for dinner.   I thought it would be noisy but ended up being a peaceful night parked on a large gravel lot in back of the brewery.
Next we headed to the mountains and landed at Big Meadow campground in Shenandoah National Park.  We hiked the Lewis springs trail to Lewis falls and then back to the campground.  There wasn't much green up here and we found out why.  The second night would drop down to 21 deg. and that means frozen pipes.  We retreated to warmer elevations and had planned to head to Stone Mountain state park in  NC but this cold wave chased us back to the coast and home.  Will have to pickup this trip later.

Well that's All For Now,
Tom
