Aug 24th-26th   We are headed to Mt. Rainier NP this morning.  It is suppose to take 3 hrs and 41 minutes but when you tow a camper add 40% or so.    We looked at a couple of campgrounds in the park but they are full.  We found a NF campground just outside called Buck Creek and it was free for us old folks :)  no hookups and no water available.  It's located next to Rangers airstrip were small planes can land and Helicopters take off to perform rescues on Mt. Next day we headed to Sunrise visitor center to do some hiking.  Our 1st hike was up to Sourdough ridge. Then we headed to Emmons vista and on to Silver forest. Time for Lunch   We spent 1 night in Merrit BC at the Moon Shadow RV park.  Went through some sketchy areas to get to it but was nice once we got there with full hookups and a stream running beside it.    Next day we move on to Marblemont Washington and the Howard Miller Steelhead County park.  A very nice county RV park on the Skagit river.  We had been lucky so far on this trip with the weather but today was rainey and foggy.  Guess we are in the Northwest now...LOL..  We settled in for the night to sound of the river flowing just behind us.  The next morning we headed to Cascades NP.  The weather was still dismal and we didn't see many mountain tops.  We did som...
